LESSONS

Miss. Jazmin teaches lessons from Jazmin Wong’s Piano Studio LLC at 2360 N 124th St, Wauwatosa WI. Suite 30. This location is less than 2 miles from Mayfair mall and ten miles from Downtown Milwaukee. Let your student learn piano from an award-winning teacher. Lesson Cost & Payments

Lessons are $120 a month per 30-minute lesson. It is expected of the parent or guardian to pay for lessons on the first lesson of the month. Payments are accepted by cash, or check. If the parent or guardian misses payment by the third week, Jazmin will not be able to continue lessons with the student until she is paid. If there are difficult times, please let Jazmin know, and she may accept weekly payments.

Student's Participation


Students are expected to be at lessons weekly, and if there needs to be a cancellation, it is required to be done 24 hours in advance. Lessons that are canceled the day of for non-illnesses or emergencies will be billed. If your student is sick or if there is an illness in the household, please be respectful and reschedule the lesson. For example, we can reschedule for an in-person lesson or zoom lesson.

Student Expectations

Students should practice at a minimum of two times a week, but it is recommended to practice four times a week for twenty minutes each time.

Bi-Annual Recitals

Students can express themselves and perform for family members during two recitals or playing opportunities per year. More advance students may participate in one compettition per year.

Thank you for entrusting me to teach yourself or your child piano! It is my passion to help my students find their musical and educational potential.  Please read and sign my studio policy to keep us on track this season!

Student

  • Bring your lesson book to each lesson.

  • Students 9 and under should practice a minimum of three times for 10 – 15 minutes a week.

  • Students 10 and older should practice a minimum of three times per week for 25 – 30 minutes.

  • If you would like to learn something special, please let Jazmin know.

Parent/Guardian

Payment - Tuition

  • Payment of $120 beginning is due the first lesson of each month. This is Jazmin’s income so please be respectful and prompt with payments, payment is accepted in cash or check. If payment is forgotten by the third lesson of the month Jazmin may be obligated to pause lessons until paid. Lesson pricing will move away from per lesson cost to a standard monthly lesson cost of $120.

  • By having this increase in lesson price, it will allow Ms. Wong to more easily afford studio rent, and two recitals per year. This price will also include vacation time for Students and Ms. Wong (listed below).

  • If finances are an issue, please speak to Jazmin to figure out a payment plan that works.

Practice

  • Students may need assistance or encouragement to practice please help encourage your child to do so.

 

Attendance

  • Please make sure Ms. Wong is at the studio before you drop your student off

  • Please arrive on time for lessons.

  • Your scheduled lesson time is the time your student should show up to lessons.

  • If your family goes on a vacation for one or two weeks, please pay for the entire month and we will make up the lesson/s when returned. If lessons are dropped for entire month for vacation, you may reschedule a new time for your student when you return. Jazmin cannot guarantee a timeslot once changed or a months long vacation is taken.

  • Jazmin needs to be made aware of lessons that need to be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance.  Unless the lesson is excusable for emergencies and illness.

  • Parents are responsible for paying for inexcusable lessons without rescheduling for a makeup. These are lessons that were not canceled 24 hours in advance and are not excusable.

Vacation Time off Days for Student and Teacher

  • Holiday Break: December 24th – January 1st

  • Spring Break (Easter): Thursday and Friday before Easter and Monday after Easter off

  • Thanksgiving: Wednesday – Friday off of the week of Thanksgiving

  • Fourth of July two days before and two days after July 4th off

  • Labor Day: every year on the day of Labor Day

  • Halloween: every year on the 31st if on a school night

  • Memorial Day: every year on the day of Memorial Day

  • 5 business days chosen by Ms. Wong to take a vacation

*These days off will still be paid for at $120 per 30-minute slot. This price allows Jazmin to have a stable income, pay for studio fees and two recitals (or performances) per year.

 

Sick Policy

  • Children and all students should not arrive to lessons ill. We can reschedule or do an online lesson
